About Kalkan The historic town of Kalkan is an enchanting place and one of the most beautiful locations along Turkey 's gorgeous Lycian Coast. Kalkan has typical Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and warm wet winters. The sea water temperature rarely drops below 16°C, thus enabling swimmers 9 months of bathing season. The day-time maximum temperature during summer is 35-40°C and 14-16°C during winter. Kalkan typically has low humidity and is preferred by locals and visitors alike for its health-giving benefits.
There is now over 100 restaurants in "Old Kalkan". Travel agencies,
restaurants, bars, one or two nightclubs, hotels, apartments and private
villas are all present.
